Edging Up The Sophisticated 60s

July 11, 2012

Dress: Phixi.nl

Sunglasses: Monki

Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell

So a while back I got two gorgeous, vintage-y dresses from this amazing second hand online store Phixi , a store I recommend you all to check out if you have just a little bit of an interest in beautiful vintage finds. I chose to pair this floral, blue dress with white socks and heels to add my, if you will, signature quirky-ness to the otherwise very sophisticated and classic style of this outfit.

On another note, sorry for being so MIA on my blog this past week, I have had an excellent excuse though since I've been in Montana meeting new people and new surroundings. I am back now though and while processing travel photos I will post some new outfit photos the upcoming days instead, which I bet you appreciate, since you are here (first and foremost) for the fashion, I guess?

xoxo

  4. You look so awesome possum!

That blue dress is absolutely stunning! I love how the top part is floral and the bottom is that gorgeous shade of bright bright blue.
The little details of the dress such as the belt and the green and yellow flowers make it super cute. It's superduper sophisticated and elegant and looks awesome on you with your fun bright pink lipstick.

I really like how you took such a ladylike dress and made it a little more fun and "you" with your socks and sandals as well as your lipstick and sunglasses.
When you combine everything together, a great outfit appears. You look like you're paying homage to the style of the 60s while also making it modern. That's what fashion is isn't it? It's about taking from the past, taking something your own, and combining them to create a look that's fun, gorgeous, and absolutely special.

    Thanks for sharing!

I can't wait to see more outfit posts as well as pictures of your travels in Montana :)
