Black Studded Collar Shirt: Topshop
Shoes: Jeffrey Campbell
Lipstick: MAC
So I am trying out the "goth preppy girl" look, which I know actual goth and grunge people kind of hate the fashion world for imitating..but I do kind of love it, so hence I am wearing it.
I was inspired after purchasing this new shade of lipstick when I was in Stockholm this weekend, it's a darker shade of the MAC (which is also my favourite lipstick brand, by the way) lipstick I normally wear but it's just perfect for this season. Matching with the darker autumn colors.
Also opted for light eye-make-up, just to give the look some contrast.

Ooooh I love this outfit Amanda!
ReplyDeleteI really love the look of preppy things. The collars, the sweaters, the cutesy a-line skirts! Everything is just so dressy and put-together and chic.
It makes me want to smile and run off to live in a preppy wonderland :)
I like how you contrasted your preppiness here with the gothic tones.
The black collar looks really cool with the gold studs and paired with that lovely burgundy sweater.
Those Jeffrey Campbell shoes add some nice oomph and your lipstick color matches the vibes of this outfit perfectly!
Who cares of actual goth and grunge hate the fashion world for imitating their look?
It's fashion.
It should be fun!
This look is definitely fun and such a perfect mixture of elements.
I feel so inspired. Maybe it's time to start dreaming of a goth preppy wonderland...

I love your liptick! Although MAC is a bit pricey, so I don't shop there much...

What's the name on that MAC lipstick? Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love this sweater. I find it really hard to find nice sweaters I can wear because I am allergic to wool. I might go get that shirt though.
