It's always a challenge to dress in a fun, varied way, especially when you're in high school and the same people see the same you every single day. During summer, you can throw on a cute, girly dress and wear it for at least two days in a row without anyone really knowing it but yourself. But when autumn comes and you go back to school, the whole Mean Girls mentality starts to make total sense again: 

"You can only wear your hair in a ponytail once a week..so I guess you picked today." 

Even though this is a bit insane and exaggerated, when you think about it most of us style interested individuals go through similar dilemmas as school starts again. Not in a bad way though, at least not for me. 

Autumn is probably one of my absolute favourite seasons when it comes to styling myself and finding new, fun combinations. I like the challenge of re-using summer items and re-matching them with new season items. And as always, my love for the preppy style thrives the most this time of the year. 

What I'm wearing in these photos is a result of, as very often for me, having decided on one part of the outfit and then going back and forth between five different tops to go with it. I finally went with this mustard, extremely basic sweater. And the shoes, I've been wearing these shoes a lot lately and I have no regrets. They are shiny and perfect.
