Going to NYC!

April 29, 2012

Yes, I am. I am going to New York City, my flight leaves early tomorrow morning and right now I am trying out different looks/outfits and what not for my 9 days stay in the Big Apple, with my whole family!!

Oh wow, this is so exciting for me...I have had dreams about this city since I was, well 5, to be honest.

We have rented a lovely apartment in the East Village for our stay and it just seems great, all of it. I will bring my camera (naturally) and my computer so most likely I will give you at least one or two updates during the week and LOADS when I get home!

But follow me on Instagram, where I will update regurarly during the week with photos, my username is:

Oh by the way, I have created a New York City themed playlist on Spotify, so if you're interested in an awesome New York mix of songs, CLICK HERE !

Upcoming Event/Röda Korset nyinvigning City!

April 28, 2012

Dress: Red Cross Organization (Röda Korset, City Umeå)

So this time I will write in Swedish, mainly because this is information for Swedish, Umeå-based readers:

BE THERE!

Velvet Spring

April 27, 2012

Dress: second hand/The Red Cross Organization (Röda Korset City, Umeå)

Shoes: Underground/Selfridge's

///

So this dress I picked out when me and Cornelia were working with selecting trendy/fun things to ship down to the city Red Cross store (alla ni som bor i Umeå kan som sagt köpa denna i City-butiken!), it's actually a maxi dress orginally but I thought it looked better as short/midi, so I tied it up a bit with a belt.

So sorry for being MIA these past few days! I have been a bit busy with studying but most of all with preparations for me and my family's upcoming New York City trip!

Because dear ones, on Monday morning I am heading to the Big Apple!! I am so excited, so excited! Oh the fun!

So this weekend, expect me to be tossing and turning around in my house: packing, planning outfits, oh you know the drill.

Have a marvelous weekend!

Messing With Margaret Part II

April 22, 2012

 Skirt: The Red Cross Organization

T-shirt: The Red Cross Organization

Creeper Shoes: Underground/Selfridge's

I seem to be drawn to these conservative, Margaret Thatcher-y skirts. Maybe because the entire fashion world seems to be drawn to these skirts and this color at the moment. I like to mess it all up though, adding some attitude and "whatever"-attitude to it all.

These gorgeous items I found during last week's work day at the Red Cross Organization, the photos are also shot in the Red Cross Store, isn't it a beautiful/cool environment?

I am in a hurry, so I won't write anything else right now.
I will publish the lucky winner of the Romwe Giveaway in the upcoming days, so stay tuned!

xoxo

P.S: Yes, I am still a brunette. These were shot a week ago, hence the blonde hair!

Going Brunette

April 18, 2012

Yes, my extremely talented hairdresser has done it again. She has managed to transform my hair into something new and frankly I love it.

I have been thinking about going from blonde to brunette for quite some time now, since it's actually closer to my real hair-color - which is some sort of dark blonde. And now, I just feel it's much more me

So from now on, not a blonde Amanda. Get used to the brunette Amanda.

Now I'm gonna go practice on my speech for tomorrow's Swedish speaking finals, wish me good luck!

Teenagers Wear Pastels Part II

April 16, 2012

As I wrote in my previous post. Pastels are all around at the moment I am so excited to fill up my closet with pastels of every kind.

Last spring I had a thing for pastel, rainbow-colored nails and I think I'm gonna keep on doing that for this spring season.

So, I have finals in Swedish coming up this week and an appointment at my hair stylist. Plus countless of emails (sorry to those of you who are waiting for me to reply, I will!) Busy week, busy week, busy week. But sunny week.

(sorry for the random-ness there at the end, just realized how really random it actually was.)

All clothes are borrowed from my two lovely friends, the gorgeous sisters Cornelia and Julia Helleday.

Except for the shoes - they are from Jeffrey Campbell.

//

All right, so these are some shots from Monday when me and Cornelia had our awesome Teenagers Wear Pastels theme. I am just falling in love all over again with pastels, blush tones and lacy things. It's probably because of the upcoming, happening spring.

Tonight me and Cornelia are heading to a hopefully awesome party with the rest of our school, basically. Fun, fun, fun!

Oh and don't forget to ENTER this GIVEAWAY
